Swingin’ Into the Holidays

Stephanie Nakasian is an exciting, well-seasoned jazz vocalist and master of innovative jazz improvisation. Touring for 35 years as a jazz singer including 2 years performing with the Jon Hendricks Group, Stephanie has released countless recordings both as a bandleader and with her family – husband, jazz pianist Hod O’Brien (1936-2016) and daughter, vocalist and performer Veronica Swift.

Australian born jazz pianist Matt Baker leads a powerful trio in New York City where he has called home since 2010. He performs regularly as a sideman at some of New York’s premiere jazz venues including Birdland and The Blue Note as well as touring abroad. In 2017 Matt released his latest DVD album “Live at Birdland”, and was a semi-finalist in the Montreux International Solo Jazz Piano competition 2003 - 2005.

$20 per person with two drink minimum.

Friday, September 7 “Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass a.k.a. Stephanie Nakasian and Randy Johnston.” Step back in time, and get ready for a nostalgic “Easy Living” evening of legendary guitar/voice duets (with Karl Kimmel on bass).

Saturday, October 6 – The Latin from Manhattan with the Virginia “Girl from Ipanema” as Stephanie raises the rhythmic roof in tribute to Latin Jazz, with the incomparable Chris Whiteman/guitar and Karl Kimmel/bass.

Friday, November 2 – “Jazz-a-go-go” Stephanie and her jazz cats, Chris Whiteman, Jonah Kane-West and Forrest Young will be getting funky tonight! It’s the 60’s all over again…break out your white boots and beads and get ready for a lively night of cool jazz! (Period attire is optional).
